CHINESE WUCAI PORCELAIN HELMET JAR Chinese porcelain jar sturdily potted in a baluster jar, has a tall feminine silhouette with broad shoulders and a body that either tapers to the foot or pinches at the waist then elegantly fans near its foot. The baluster jar is capped by a dome lid, resembled form of general's helmet, crowned with simply bud finial. The exterior decorated in opaque WuCai design depicted carp fish amidst water foliate. The foot rim revealed the cutted edges during the process, and the base left unglazed with grayish creme-brown ground and dark spots of firing marks.
