An extraordinary Italian sterling silver Kantharos Cup with double handles, by famed silversmith Mabuti for Buccellati, circa 1970. Ornate satyrs and cherubsin deep relief to the central areas, with hand etched detailed throughout. Buccellati silver maker mark to the underside and MI 763 for the silversmith, Mabuti.
The cup is a fine replica of the original ancient Roman Kantharos silver vases and cups found from an excavation in Pompeii.
