Greta Garbo's Personally Owned, Monogrammed and Worn, Fancy Fredrica Three Button Mink Coat Having Monogrammed Lining, with a Signed Check to Her Furrier and Receipts Regarding This Very Coat That Adorned One of the Greatest Stars in History. Photo Identified and the Most Documented Extant.
Together with a check signed, "Greta Garbo," drawing on the Chase Manhattan bank for $37.10 payable to her furrier, Fredrica, December 13, 1969 with an invoice from Fredrica of New York made out to Garbo for servicing of a "BLACK SEAL COAT," and storage of "YOUR WILD MINK COAT". Also together with an invoice and a storage ticket from Revillon, for Garbo's "RANCH MINK COAT THREE BUTTONS BROWN LINING FREDRICA LABEL G. MONOGRAM."
According to her grand-niece, Greta Garbo enjoyed an extensive wardrobe of fur coats. Garbo’s Nordic heritage celebrated the luxurious warmth of fur. Garbo wore this mink coat during her legendary walks in New York City.
The coat is also accompanied by a 1952 image of Garbo wearing the same.
