Description
10 Piece International Silver - Fine Arts Sterling Silver Crown Princess Flatware. Excellent condition. 1- 4 Individual Salad Forks 6 1/2 in. 2- Sugar Spoon 5 7/8". 3- Solid Gravy Ladle 6 1/4". 4-Two (2) Serving Spoons 8 1/2". 5- Master Butter 7 1/4". 6- Large Solid Cold Meat Serving Fork 9 1/8". Weight on all approximately 475 grams. Fine Arts Sterling Silver Co. was established in 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, selling patterns made by International Silver Co., and was moved to Morgantown, Pennsylvania in 1972. After moving to Jenkintown, Pennsylvania in 1977, Fine Arts went of of business in 1979. PROVENANCE: Edwin Moore Brogdon, PhD, collection. Dr. Brogdon was the owner of Brogdon Manor, a stately plantation home, located in the Brogdon Community, near Sumter, SC. The home was built in 1898 by his grandfather William Turner Brogdon. The Brogdon community was comprised of a local country store, cotton gin, sawmill and dairy. William Turner Brogdon was one of the largest planters in Sumter and Clarendon counties at the end of the19th century.
