NO RESERVE Music.- Bach (Johann Sebastian) Sechs Praeludien und Sechs Fugen fur Orgel oder Pianoforte mit Pedal, Vienna & Pest, engraved throughout, ink signature and inscription of Ernst Pauer in lower corner of title (partially trimmed), Im Kunst und Industrie Comptoir, [c.1830s]; bound with 5 other works for Clavecin by J.S. Bach, one also with signature of Pauer and dated in another hand 1837, later half cloth over marbled boards, oblong folio
⁂ Ernst Pauer (1826-1905) was a renowned Austrian pianist, composer and teacher. His mother was from the famous Viennese Steicher family of piano makers and for 5 years he was a pupil of Mozart's son F.X.W. Mozart. He performed daily piano recitals at the 1862 International Exhibition in London and in 1876 became principal piano teacher at the Royal College of Music.
⁂ Ernst Pauer (1826-1905) was a renowned Austrian pianist, composer and teacher. His mother was from the famous Viennese Steicher family of piano makers and for 5 years he was a pupil of Mozart's son F.X.W. Mozart. He performed daily piano recitals at the 1862 International Exhibition in London and in 1876 became principal piano teacher at the Royal College of Music.
