Description
"Gideon G(?) Master on Board the Brig York being duly sworn ... that this was only paper found on Board the said Brig at the time of her Capture..." dated 1781 and signed before "Fras ( Francis ) Hopkinson" -- This was during Judge Hopkinson's (1737 - 1791) time at the Admiralty Court of Pennsylvania. Also includes British document stating Charles Grant is the "present Master" of the Brigantine York, and detailing that the ship was previously a "prize" itself.
