Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Kangxi underglazed red porcelain zun.It's a jewel in the glaze. This piece of porcelain, called Zun, is actually not very large, the whole height is only 7.4 cm, caliber 4.1 cm, foot diameter 4.4 cm, so it belongs to a small piece of porcelain.This porcelain is commonly used in the literati study utensils, used to hold water, easy to grind use. The reason why it is called Apple Zun is because it looks like an apple placed on the table, hence the name Apple Zun. This apple has a very round belly with a rounded bottom and is decorated with a red pattern in the glaze. The edge of the mouth is decorated with twig patterns, and the abdomen is decorated with four flowers in full bloom. This is the four blooming flowers are lotus, peony, chrysanthemum and camellia.This kind of red underglaze is one of the creations of the Kangxi official kiln, the apple in this period also has the apple green and the sky blue glaze, takes the red apple in the glaze as one of the treasures of the red porcelain in the Kangxi glaze.
