GODDARD, ROBERT H. Typed Letter Signed "R.H. Goddard," providing an introduction and reference for Nils T. Ljungquist to Dr. Louis Thompson of the U.S. Naval Proving Ground. One page, 8vo on his Mescalero Ranch imprinted stationery. With an 8x10 inch photograph of Goddard posing with Ljungquist and 7 other Roswell team members. Ljungquist is sitting on the left side of Goddard.

In part: "he would like to be considered for work in the Navy Department if and when rocket development in New Mexico terminates or is interrupted. He is a good machinist, and has been especially valuable inasmuch as he is clever and original, and can construct mechanical devices in a simple and practical way from rather general instructions. Besides this, he is reliable and a pleasant man to work with."
