YORK CO., PENNSYLVANIA FOLK ART FRAKTUR BIRTH RECORD, watercolor and ink on paper, for "Mary Ann Hooper / Born Oct. 4th 1821", with "Yorktown" and "Bottstown", with birds and floral decoration. Housed under glass in possibly original paint-decorated frame. Dated 1821. 7 1/2" x 12 1/2" sight, 11" x 16" OA.
Fair overall visual condition, moderate to heavy areas of discoloration and toning, wear around the edges, frame with scattered losses and areas of discoloration, one old break with associated losses to back. Not examined out of frame.
Provenance: From an Upstate New York private collection.
