Ceramic. c. 1662-1722. Height: 8 1/2", Length: 7 1/2", Depth: 1 1/2". A Chinese Famille Verte porcelain puzzle wine ewer. Wine ewer is shaped as a calligraphic character accented with an enameled figure in the center. Body of ewer is enameled with flowers and scrolling foliage. Spout and handle are decorated with enameled repeating stroke lines. Wine ewer is from the K'Ang Hsi Dynasty era circa 1662-1722. Wine ewer is accompanied with custom fit box. Provenance: From the collection of Mr. Andrew Weertz, owner of Ports of Call, Ltd. import store in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan.
