Marquis de Lafayette was a French military general who fought in the American Revolutionary War and was a key figure in the French Revolution. His military memoirs and correspondence have been recorded, published, and read profusely since the early 19th-century. This iteration of the ‘Life of Lafayette’ was written for children to understand the character of an important figure of the American Revolution and a close friend of George Washington.



This 1860 first edition was published in Boston by Crosby and Nichols Company.
