This is approx 6" x 9 1/2" and is 488 pages about the largest riots in American history broke out on the streets of New York City, nearly destroying in four days the financial, industrial, and commercial hub of the nation. Northerners suspected a Confederate plot, carried out by local "Copperhead" sympathizers; however, the reality was more complex and far-reaching, exposing fault lines of race and class still present in America today. Hard-cover is in good, used condition with no markings or damage. "The Civil War Supply Catalogue" is approx 9" x 11" and is 203 pages for memorabilia collectors and military buffs - nostalgia fans and historians both amateur and professional - here is the ultimate reference guide to Civil War artifacts still available today--as well as such "contemporary" items as Abraham Lincoln impersonators and reenactment groups to add a note of authenticity to celebrations. 250 photos and drawings. This softcover is in good, used condition with markings on the edges of the pages. Book Seven of "Pictorial Encyclopedia Of American History 1861-1865" is approx 8" x 10" and is 70 pages of illustrated art and history about the civil war. This vintage book has some light yellowing to its pages but is in good, used condition. "American Civil War Commanders: Confederate Leaders In The West" by Phillip Katcher. This soft-cover is approx 7" x 10" and is 64 pages of history and photos of Osprey's study of the commanders of the American Civil War. Book is in good, used shape with light yellowing of cover.
