Description
A lovely Egyptian black steatite figure of Harpokrates, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, depicted nude with hands at side wearing close-fitting cap with side-lock of youth, his features beautifully modeled with great overall style and detail. H: 2 7/8 in (7.3 cm). Light deposits and with removable antique wood base. Ex Upstate New York private collection; Galerie Gilgamesh, Paris; Paris Collection of M. Cros, acquired prior to 1980.
