Pair of Chinese emperor and empress ivory figural carvings, fashioned to be a Manchu ruler clothed in elaborate dragon robes picked out in low relief and heightened with pigments, one hand caressing his court necklace, the accompanying empress with aristocratic features framed by a phoenix headdress and portrayed holding a precious package in her hand, each seated on a throne carved with dragons or phoenixes (hairline cracks, minor chips), 12.25''h, 11.5''h; together with two wooden stands
