Description
Cia. International de Comercio (Mexico, 1920's) Advertising Poster The International Trade Organization ( ITO , International Trade Organization , ITO for its acronym in English ) was an organization proposed by the Havana Charter in the context of the harmonization of trade policies worldwide. It sought to constitute the third pillar of the world economic order with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank led by the United States in collaboration with its allies, despite the initial success of the signing of the Havana Charter ended up failing due to the lack of approval of the US Congress. Instead, the GATT was adopted as a regulatory instrument for international trade, until the creation of the World Trade Organization in 1994. Condition: Overall displays in Great condition.
