Framed 19th c. Chinese Embroidered Silk Pien-Mien Fan, Hundred Birds pattern, depicting a variety of birds in a landscape of pine trees and flowers, with lacquered and gilded wood frame and relief carved handle, on a blue-green silk backing inside of a black painted wooden frame, fan: 14 3/4" x 10 3/4", OS: 18 1/2" x 14 1/2". Minor toning and staining of cream silk, discoloration of blue-green silk backing.
