assembled flatware service with fitted canteen

USA, 20th century
sterling silver, stainless steel

Six-piece service for six plus fifty-three additional utensils and serving pieces; eighty-nine pieces total. All marked. Lebolt flatware with applied monogram 'RAL'. 105.7 ozt (weighable).
Sold with a two-piece Whiting Sterling carving set, Mechanics Sterling Co. Calla Lily scalloped spoon and macaroni fork, and a two-piece carving set by an unknown maker.

Condition
Overall good condition with some scratches, commensurate with age and use. Canteen in fair condition with some deep scratches, areas of loss and remnants of tape to exterior. Lacking one pull to second compartment. Some of the serving pieces do not fit into the slots. Service is comprised of 89 pieces: (6) soup spoons, (6) bouillon spoons, (5) citrus spoons, (4) ice cream spoons, (3) teaspoons, (3) smaller teaspoons, (6) egg spoons, (1) demitasse spoon, (2) salt spoons, (6) dinner forks, (13) luncheon forks, (1) salad fork, (6) cocktail forks, (6) dinner knives with stainless steel blades, (1) luncheon knife, (6) butter spreaders, (5) fish knives, (1) cold meat fork, (1) serving spoon, (2) ladles, (1) tomato server, (1) fish slice, (1) carving knife with stainless steel blade, (1) honing tool, (1) bottle opener. Sold with 6 additional serving pieces; Whiting Sterling carving fork and knife with stainless steel blade and head, Mechanics Sterling Co. Lily scalloped serving spoon and serving fork and a carving fork and knife with stainless steel blade and head by unknown maker.
