A gold finger ring with D-section hoop, decorated on the outer face with an ovoid panel and stylised foliage, some enamel remaining; inscribed within in a seriffed italic hand 'Patiently submitt to dye' followed by initals AL and maker's mark. Gold, 3.70 grams, 22 mm overall (approximate size British S 1/2, USA 9 1/4, Europe 20.63, Japan 20). Payn collection, acquired in the 1950's.

Very fine condition, large wearable size.
