attributed to William Savery (1721-1787), Philadelphia, circa 1760-1770, walnut, shaped shell carved crest with scrolled ears, pierced transitional vasiform splat, shaped arm and arm support with scrolled knuckle, slip seat, seat rail with central drop, cabriole legs with shell carved knee and raised stocking foot, rear stile with double through mortise and tenon construction and chamfered rear down swept legs.
40" x 30" at arm & 23" at seat x 22"
