Description
Native American, northwestern New Mexico, Chaco Canyon, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan) culture, ca. 1075 to 1150 CE. A tall and wide example of a hand-built pottery bowl with a round but stable base, sweeping walls, and a thin rim surrounding the interior basin. The white vessel is decorated with two black bands of dense latticework patterns within the basin that create a minimalist and attractive presentation. Size: 9.75" W x 5.4" H (24.8 cm x 13.7 cm)

Condition
Repaired from several large pieces with restoration in a few areas of body and walls, with resurfacing and overpainting along new material and break lines. Abrasions to interior and exterior surfaces, with light fading to original pigment. Nice preservation to original pigment within basin.
