Fine and Rare Chinese 18 Century Huanghuali 5 Part Picnic Box, the rectangular base frame with an overhead handle straight across the top and curved inset side supporting bars all holding 2 removable compartments, the top compartment with a tray, under a cover with bronze bar locking mechanism covered inside in wood; the hole in the handle for a lock is lined in bronze and there are bronze reinforcement corners to rectangular base and corners of handle; wood compartments, tray and cover with a bead edge. Height to top of handle 6 inches (15.2 cm.) X width at base 8 1/8 inches (20.5 cm.) X depth at base 5 1/8 inches (13 cm.).

Age related wear with shrinkage to joints, several reinforced with glue, small splinter to inside base edge of 1 compartment, small crack to top edge of inside tray.
