This Salmagundi work of art is titled, "Hop Vine, Bonnefont Cloister". A painting of hops, cultivated by staff gardeners in one of the reconstituted structures that form the core of The Cloisters, the medieval branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Oil on Canvas. Image Size: 12" x 9" Framed Size: 13" x 10" x 1" Annie Shaver-Crandell, a medievalist art historian and professor in her first career, is a visual artist who lives, works and teaches in her Lower Manhattan loft. A former member of the Board of Directors of Salmagundi, she has also served as National President of the Women's Caucus for Art. For fun she reads detective fiction and dances Argentinian tango, taking part in Salmagundi's many tango nights.
