PASADENA, Calif. – John Moran Auctioneers has packed fun and interesting modern and contemporary paintings and intriguing pieces of 20th century design into a two-session decorative art auction June 16.

First session selections include art pottery by Jean Goodrich Ames and Otto and Gertrud Natzler, silver by Georg Jensen and a collection of Walter Lamb patio furniture.

Selections from the Joan Irvine Smith Asian art collection comprise the second session of the auction. The Joan Irvine Smith Asian art session features a number of items recently on view as part of the Bowers Museum’s exhibition “Heavenly Horses: 2000 Years of Chinese & Japanese Equine Art.”

The first session contains a number of fine examples of mid-century modern design and aesthetics, such as a collection of iconic bronze Walter Lamb outdoor furniture.
