  • A rare waistcoat belonging to Captain James Cook will be auctioned later this month in Australia. The garment remained in the Cook family in England following the explorer’s death in 1779,  but it has had several other owners since then. [Read more from StuffNZ]

  • The Glenwood Springs Historical Society pulled the trigger Thursday on a move the group hopes will boost the town’s reputation as an Old West tourist stop.   • A bargain hunter stumbled onto a piece of royal history in an antique store in Wales: a photo of Queen Elizabeth with Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. The picture was taken right after The Queen officially gave permission for them to marry. [Read more from Royal Central]
