KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – A trove of historical books, documents and silver tied to George Washington and other Revolutionary War heroes helped Case ring in 2018 with one of its most successful sales to date. Approximately 4,500 registered bidders from more than 60 countries participated in the Jan. 27 auction at the company’s gallery in Knoxville, and 95 percent of the lots sold. Reading Public Museum hosts Keith Haring exhibition

READING, Pa. – This year marks the 40th anniversary of Keith Haring’s first solo exhibition, which was held at the Pittsburgh Arts and Craft Center in 1978. The Reading Public Museum, where the “hometown” artist first exhibited his work in 1976, has mounted an exhibition of paintings, prints, and sculptures from all phases of Haring’s career. Titled “Symbolic Gestures,” the exhibition will run through April 15.

A vast array of property, including the single-owner collection of Sire Records’ founder Seymour Stein, a record-breaking Arequipa pot, and the inaugural presentation of property from the archives of artist Albert Paley, propelled a consistently strong sale across three days, six auction segments and almost 1,300 lots. CAIRO (AP) – Archaeologists in Egypt have discovered a 4,400-year-old tomb near the country’s famed pyramids at the Giza plateau just outside Cairo, the Antiquities Ministry said Saturday, the latest discovery that authorities hope will help revive the country’s staggering tourism sector.

But between the repair of dents, dings and gashes on the commercial vehicles that are the wheelhouse of this 20-year-old business, the work is focused on one of the most recognizable vehicles to ever cruise the country’s highways, byways and Interstate system.
