Kensington features Banksy stop sign in March 23 sale

CLINTONDALE, N.Y. – Kensington Estate Auctions pulls out all the stops for their March 23 online auction with a stop sign attributed to Bansky. This spray-painted metal sign was hand-stenciled and depicts a pony-tailed girl with the stenciled signature of the British street artist. Additional graffiti / urban artworks in the sale are by Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and LAII. The conservative presale estimate for the Bansky work is $600-$1,200 while on-line bidding has already been active. Bid absentee or live online through LiveAuctioneers.

DALLAS – An extremely rare copy of The Federalist Papers that was personally given by James Madison to an American diplomat and a strong selection of literature related to the Mormon church and its founders boosted the total sales for Heritage Auctions’ Rare Books Auction to $1,608,905 March 4 in New York.
