NEW HAMBURG, Ontario – A French Atmos perpetual time clock sold for $6,490, a Wettlaufer child’s wagon rolled away for $5,900 and a cased pair of English dueling pistols hit its mark for $4,720 in an online-only Canadiana & Historic Objects auction held Oct. 24 by Miller & Miller Auctions Ltd. A circa 1930s or ’40s circus sideshow banner (“Cavalcade of Wonders – Freaks Past & Present”), 90 inches tall and 20 feet wide, sold for $28,800 at a Circus, Sideshow & Oddities Sale held Sept. 26, by Potter & Potter Auctions in Chicago. Also, a circa 1965 photograph by Diane Arbus, titled Group Portrait at Hubert’s Museum, rose to $12,000; and a collection of signed circus performer photographs changed hands for $4,320.

DENVER – Hindman’s Western Paintings and Sculpture auction on Friday, Oct. 29, posted outstanding results. The auction exceeded its presale estimate and set numerous new global auction records.
