BERKELEY, Calif. – On Thursday, September 22, PBA Galleries will host a sale with more than 500 lots of fine literature and ephemera. It will feature scarce works from the counterculture and the Beat Generation, including a large section of rock and psychedelic posters as well as editions from Charles Bukowski, many with original artwork, and a large sampling of the works of Ray Bradbury, John Steinbeck and William Faulkner. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.

NEW YORK — Vintage porcelain has always been collectible. Some pieces can cost as much as a house, while others have more reasonable prices. Japanese culture has a rich porcelain-making tradition, driven in part by an abundance of good clay. Porcelain has been made throughout the country for centuries, and archeologists have documented at least six kilns designed for firing ceramics that date back to ancient times.
