Among the highlights in the auction is a 6 3/4-inch Qing Dynasty white jade carved vase with dragon motif, which has a $35,000-$45,000 estimate.
Finely carved Chinese cabinets have the highest anticipated prices in the sale. A Qing Dynasty zitan cabinet having new fittings, 94.8 inches high by 94.8 inches wide, has an estimate of $200,000-$300,000. A pair of Qing Dynasty huanghuali cabinets, 97.2 inches high by 82.8 inches wide could bring $150,000-$200,000.
Other highlights include:
- Lot 96 – Chinese huanghuali brush pot, 1960, size: 27 x 26 centimeters. Estimate: $1,500-$2,000.
- Lot 117 – Chinese soapstone Luohan carving, Qing Dynasty, size: 13 x 11 centimeters. Estimate: 1,000-$1,500.
- Lot 248 – Wu Guanzhong ‘s engraving of limited edition, integrated version, made in 1992, size: 68 x 69 centimeters. Estimate: $800-$1,000.
- Lot 225 – An 18K natural jadeite pendant with diamond, leaf motif, jadeite size: 3.5 x 1.2 x 0.8 centimeters. Estimate: $3,000-$4,500.
