Over and Above Online Auctions has launched their latest online auction catalog for their sale scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 2, at 1 p.m. Eastern time. This auction’s theme, early 20th century design, includes a wide variety of auction offerings. Bid absentee or live online through LiveAuctioneers.

The auction begins with a 40-year collection of vintage Fiesta dinnerware. Produced by Homer Laughlin Co., Fiesta dinnerware made its debut in the mid-1930s and is still a staple of many kitchens across the USA. This collection, with very few exceptions, focused on the early 1940s and the original six colors of this iconic dishware.

The auction also includes a nice selection of vintage art pottery. There are items for every level of collecting, including: McCoy tea set, Clement Massier cabinet vases, to a pair of D’Argyl French Art Deco architectural faience vases, just to name a few.

Early 20th century advertising posters are also featured in this diverse auction. The auction includes several Amoco advertising posters, featuring graphic design by Bernhard. The sale also includes several trolley card litho cardboard advertising signs, featuring such products as “Vicks” and “Lifebuoy” soap. There is a selection of European advertising posters, including the iconic Art Nouveau inspired “Saphir” cigarettes poster, as well as more Art Deco inspired graphic designs.

The auction includes a selection of Art Deco design clocks, lighting, bookends and desk accessories. Everything you would likely find in a well-appointed 20th century office, may be found in this auction. The auction Includes bronze bookends, a cold painted bronze parrot-motif desk set and letter openers. There are fabulous inkwells, including a gilded bronze Art Nouveau inkwell, as well as smoking sets.

The auction also features a terrific globe form “banker’s fan” in working order, as well as several Art Deco inspired coin-operated stamp machines.

Collectibles of the period are also featured in this auction. The sale features a terrific collection of Vogue records, which were 78 rpm records with colorful images on the playing surface. The auction also includes a collection of vintage cast-iron doorstops.

Interested in fine art?  There is a selection of woodblock prints, lithographs and engravings that are both decorative and of interest to the art collector. Specifically, the auction features a lithograph bearing the monogram of Henri Toulouse-Lautrec. The lithograph appears to be on paper of the period, but the buyers may judge the value for themselves, as it will be sold to the highest bidder on LiveAuctioneers.

The auction also includes Art Nouveau inspired and Art Deco vintage perfume bottles and costume jewelry. Several bottles are designed by Lalique, while others are Czechoslovakian glass. The jewelry ranges from bakelite to 1940s Siam silver, to more contemporary designer jewelry with an Art Deco sensibility.
