LOS ANGELES –  Abell Auction Co. will present a sale titled Modern Interiors on Tuesday, March 28, starting at 9 am Pacific time. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.

A strong representation of furnishings by Roche Bobois, B&B Italia, Thomas Moser, Gaetano Pesce, Karl Springer and other prominent designers will be offered. Highlights include a Gaetano Pesce UP chair and ottoman, estimated at $1,000-$2,000; a Ligne Rosset Togo sofa, estimated at $3,000-$5,000; Roche Bobois Mah Jong sofas, estimated at $3,000-$5,000; and a Thomas Moser Deacons bench, estimated at $600-$800.

The sale also will present fine original works of art by Sister Mary Corita Kent, Robert Indiana, Richard Jones, Paul Pascal, Pablo Picasso, Raimonds Staprans and many others. Highlights include a bronze, silver and jeweled landscape sculpture by Richard Jones, estimated at $18,000-$22,000; Windy Weather Boats, a painting by Raimonds Staprans that has an estimate of $8,000-$12,000; a serigraph by Robert Indiana with an estimate of $1,000-$1,500; an abstract sculpture by Paul Pascal, estimated at $700-$1,000; a framed print under acrylic by Richard Anuszkiewicz that is estimated at $600-$800; and several serigraphs by Sister Mary Corita Kent, including In Touch, estimated at $800-$1,200; and Hazlitt-Westinghouse Commission, Thoreau and If a Man Does Not Keep Pace… all of which are estimated at $600-$800.

Fine jewelry highlights include a pair of Boris Lebaeu 18K gold earrings with an estimate of $1,000-$1,500; a Salvador Dali 18K gold sculpture necklace, estimated at $1,000-$1,500; an 18K gold, morganite and multi-gem set ring by Richard Jones, estimated at $1,500-$2,000; an 18K pink gold and morganite fancy link endless necklace with an estimate of $8,000-$10,000; a platinum, diamond and aquamarine ring estimated at $3,000-$5,000; and a pair of Tiffany & Co., 18K gold heart ribbon earrings, estimated at $400-$600.
