SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Vogt Galleries’ Texas Art Auction will feature a curated collection of 222 lots of original Texas artwork fresh-to-market from private collections and estates throughout Texas. The auction will take place on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 1 pm. Central time. Bid absentee or live online through LiveAuctioneers.

Featured in the auction is a stunning Dawson Dawson-Watson, Laurel & Prickly Pear, oil on canvas, in the original artist’s handmade frame that has a $20,000-$30,000 estimate.

A fantastic selection of bluebonnet landscape paintings will be included in the sale by artists G. Harvey, William Slaughter, Santa Duran, Robert Harrison, Carl Hoppe, Randy Peyton and many others, including artwork by Porfirio Salinas, Bluebonnets, 1930, oil on canvas (est. $15,000-$18,000).

Known for her etchings of Texas cowboys is a Mary Bonner, Bronco Busters, 1925, hand-colored etching, ed. 4/25 (est. $12,000-$15,000).

Among the many Texas landscape pieces are works by Julian Onderdonk, Autumn Scene, oil on board (est. $15,000-$20,000) and G. Harvey, Texas Hill Country, 1975, oil on canvasboard (est. $3,000-$5,000).
