LONDON – Poster specialist AntikBar‘s next online auction will feature a selection of propaganda and advertising posters from Czarist Russia and the USSR. The auction will take place on Saturday, May 28, starting at 5 p.m. UK time.

Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.com.

The majority of the posters in this auction are propaganda posters issued in the Soviet Union, some under Joseph Stalin. There are several examples of rare World War I bond posters as well as rare World War II posters.

Artists include V. Deni, V. Koretsky, D. Moor, Apsit and others. Advertising is represented by Constructivist designs from the NEP (New Economic Policy) era as well as 1950s advertising posters.
