DOUGLASS, Kan. – The lifetime art glass and antique collection of Sue Frick of Missouri will come up for bid on Saturday, April 9, at Woody Auction in the firm’s gallery.

“Sue Frick had a special gift for finding quality antiques, and she especially enjoyed Quezal art glass,” said Jason Woody of Woody Auction. “This auction will also feature Tiffany candle lamps, flawless plated Amberina, centerpiece epergnes, New England Agata, Daum Nancy French cameo miniatures, Steuben, Moser, decorated Burmese, brides baskets, English cameo and more – a real nice selection.”

Amberina is a glass shading technique, from red at the top to amber at the base. Amberina pieces in the sale will feature a New England plated art glass water pitcher (below), having rich mahogany shading to pale green and well-defined ribs, 7 inches tall, in outstanding condition.
