LONDON – Artemission’s next auction of antiquities, which consists of 86 choice lots, will take place on Wednesday, July 8, and offer a range of ancient objects from across the Mediterranean and Near Eastern worlds. LiveAuctioneers.com will provide absentee and Internet live bidding.

Included are two cuneiform inscribed documents from the Sumerian era, three Akkadian cylinder seals, one of the early Sumerian period and an impressive Bactrian stone mouflon (above) from 1500 B.C., an excellent assembly of selected Egyptian, Classical and Gandhara works of art.

The auction offers a variety of objects which date from 4000 B.C to the 11th century originating from Egypt, the Near East and Europe. The collection incorporates objects fashioned from a variety of materials including marble, bronze, faience, glass, gold, pottery and stone.
