LINCOLN, England – Unique Auctions will conduct a Fine Antiques & Collectors Sale on July 28 consisting of more than 800 lots, 100 of which are devoted to Asian and Middle Eastern art and antiquities. The bulk of items are from one collector, and items range from the fourth century to the 19th century, and include Chinese, Persian, Annamese, Japanese, Korean and Turkish items.
LiveAuctioneers will provide Internet live bidding. The auction will begin at 9 a.m. British Summer Time, 1 a.m. Pacific.
Highlights include a 10th century Tang Dynasty funeral urn; a 17th century carved wooden attendant figure, Ming Dynasty; a fourth century Ghandara stucco head; an 18th century Qianlong burial tablet; a 17th century bronze Chinese Buddha; a bronze tripod ritual wine vessel, Jue; many 18th and 19th century Chinese vases, dishes, bowl and jars; and many items of jade.

Other items in the sale include a circa 1900 table Polyphon in working order with 17 discs, a penny in the slot signing birds in cage in working order, 18th century Staffordshire china, an 18th century French ivory fan, two 18th century medical skulls, a Jacques Staunton chess set circa 1862, a superb pair of 1908/9 silver wheelbarrows by William Comyns & Sons, and fine art including works by David Cox.
