DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – The Auction Gallery of Boca Raton is making a bid to aid victims of hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, as auctioneer and owner Jay Kielstock has announced a portion of the proceeds from their Sunday, Oct. 8, sale will be donated to the South Florida Red Cross. The company is still accepting consignments and donated pieces to feature in the sale. The current catalog lists more than 125 lots of fine art, antiques, jewelry and sports collectibles. Absentee and Internet bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.
Featured items in the auction include a signed Alexander Calder color lithograph (above), a men’s Vacheron Constantin 18K yellow gold wristwatch, and a David Yurman women’s aquamarine, diamond and sterling silver ring.
“We’re donating 5 percent of everything that’s sold and hope to have 40 or 50 donated items that will all go toward hurricane relief. We hope to raise $10,000-$15,000.” said Kielstock, adding that he plans to conduct another hurricane relief auction around January.
