NEW YORK – Auctions at Showplace will present an impressive sale of 300 lots on June 24. The catalog offers a far-reaching array of fine art, European and Chinese antiques, jewelry and modern design. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.

Auctions at Showplace’s gallery is bursting with remarkable objects across a wide spectrum of collecting areas. A few highlights include a large signed Marc Chagall lithograph (above) from his “Jerusalem Windows” series, an 18th/19th-century Russian icon with silver oklad, a vintage 18K gold Omega Constellation wristwatch, a Chinese Ming “taotie” bronze incense burner and an impressive Continental three-tier Passover plate set.

Twentieth-century modern, industrial and contemporary design is represented with pieces by celebrated designers/manufacturers Mies van der Rohe, Anthony Redmile, Rene Lalique, Drexel, Loius Comfort Tiffany, Paul Milet, Adrian Pearsall, Thonet, Milo Baughman, Alvar Aalto, Carl Sorensen, and Charles and Ray Eames.

Sterling and Continental silver includes desk articles, vanity items, tea services, flatware sets, serving pieces and centerpieces. Marked pieces include such notable makers as Tiffany & Co., Cartier, Gorham, Georg Jensen manner, Wallace, Redlich, Hroar Prydz and Otto Schneider.

Chinese and Asian Art is represented by a plethora of devotional and secular objects including furniture, painted hand scrolls, serving articles, jewelry, sculptures and furniture. Throughout this category, spanning the Ming Dynasty through the early 20th century, fine craftsmanship and superlative materials coalesce in ceramic, gilt bronze, cloisonné enamel, hardstone and jade. Featured lots include: an 18th/19th century Tibetan gilt bronze wrathful Vajrapani, a Chinese Ming Taotie bronze censer, a Chinese Ming Dynasty bronze Buddha Shakyamuni, a pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty porcelain urns and a Chinese Bajixiang white jade carved disc.
