Aviation-themed collection cleared for takeoff at Jeffrey S. Evans, Sept. 22
MT. CRAWFORD, Va. – The Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates Fall Variety Auction will feature the collection of Fred Kaiser of East Sandwich, Massachusetts, comprising an extensive selection of rare vintage model airplanes and accessories, including many examples with original boxes, plus unusual advertising and a large assortment of model airplane engines. The single-owner auction will take place on Thursday, September 22 at 9 am Eastern time. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.
Highlights of this remarkable auction include an Inman Brothers Flying Circus advertising poster, estimated at $300-$500; a Manning & Sawusch / M & W Engineering Co. M-5 radial model airplane engine, estimated at $200-$300; and a scarce Ideal Spirit of St. Louis airplane model kit with its brightly colored original box. This last is estimated at $100-$200.
All lots are on public preview at the firm’s gallery located at 2177 Green Valley Lane, Mt. Crawford, Virginia on Wednesday, September 21 from 10 am to 6 pm Eastern time and on Thursday, September 22 from 8 am Eastern time until the last lot is sold.
