SARANAC LAKE, N.Y. – A unique opportunity is coming on Friday, Aug. 12 when Blanchard Auction Service of Potsdam, N.Y., presents at auction many of the original rustic furnishings from Great Camp Kwenogamac.
Built on the shores of Long Lake in 1903 and owned by a prominent New York surgeon, Dr. Arpad Gerster, Great Camp Kwenogamac consists of 12,650 square feet of living space. Throughout, it was furnished in superb Adirondack style with antique and vintage items.
Several hundred exceptional pieces from the camp have been hand-selected for Blanchard’s annual August in the Adirondacks auction. The sale will also feature rustic furniture and decorative accessories from an Adirondack lodge in Keene Valley, N.Y.
The auction will be held at Mt. Pisgah Ski Lodge in Saranac Lake, N.Y., with Internet live bidding through LiveAuctioneers.com.
