Lot #14 is a 1910 $2 1/2 Indian gold coin, NGC MS61, while lot #15 is a 1910 $2 1/2 Indian gold coin NGC MS62. There are many other excellent Indian and Liberty gold coins in the auction.
Blue Moon will offer one of the most comprehensive GSA collections to hit the coin market in some time. Short for General Services Administration, the GSA was one of the Federal Government first efforts in distributing rare United States coins. Lot #3 is an 1878-CC GSA Hoard Morgan NGC MS62 silver dollar. Lot #4 is an 1879-CC GSA Hoard Morgan NGC MS63 silver dollar. It is followed by an 1880-CC GSA Hoard Morgan NGC MS63 silver dollar and many other desirable Morgans from the same source.
Half Dollars to be offered include lot #87, a 1950 Booker T. Washington half dollar, lot #88, a 1923 Centennial half dollar XF condition, lot #89, an 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition half dollar, and many turn of the century Liberty Head half dollar coins, Seated Liberty half dollars, and a 1926 Sesquicentennial half dollar.
Those who wish to acquire silver bullion for their investment portfolios need look no further than lot #183 – a 2011 American Silver Eagle 25th Anniversary Set, all NGC MS69/PF69 early releases. Each set contains the five special 25th Anniversary American Silver Eagles Early Releases graded by NGC. There will be (1) 2011 coin with no mint Mark MS69, (1) 2011-S MS69, (1) 2011-W MS69, and (1) 2011-P PF69, which is a special proof coin made from an entirely different manufacturing process, the result of which gives it reflective mirror-like surfaces over white frosty features. A 2011-W PF69 Ultra Cameo has a special finish known as a Reverse Proof, and is highly coveted amongst collectors and investors alike. Also included in the listing is the original box, paperwork and the empty plastic capsules that the coins came in before they were graded.
