CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Bremo Auctions will conduct a big 400-lot auction of mid-century modern and decorative arts on Saturday, Oct. 21, starting at 10 a.m. Eastern time. Absentee and Internet bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.

Fashionable name-dropping occurs throughout the auction catalog. Bidders will note great furniture designers and styles such as Lane, Kent Coffey, John Widdicomb William A. Berkey, Marcel Breuer (below), Osvaldo Borsani, Tomlinson, Selig Monroe, Ron Barnette, Vittorio Lombardi and Rossi di Albizzate.

Great decorative items such as blown glass, mirrors, ceramics, barware, rugs, lamps, and pottery complement an amazing collection of art and sculpture from unknown artists to some of the greats such as Evelyn Metzger, Nicola Simbari, Larry Edwardson, Amalio Garcia Del Moral, Kheyradolin Dzhaffarov, Bernard Buffet, Curtis Jere, Giuseppe Napoli, Gladys Goldstein, Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Cy Twombly, Rufino Tamayo, Karel Appel, Juan Gris, Jane Carlson, Leonora Carrington, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Peter Pasuntino, Alexander Shevchenko, Yankel Ginsburg, Everett W. Hill, Lee Krasner, Willem de Kooning, Bela Kadner and Gerry Mitchell.

Collectible items include a Fat Albert & The Cosby Kids animation cell from the first year of that television series’ production.
