JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – Brown and Thigpen Auctions LLC will sell a private museum owner’s lifetime collection on Saturday, Oct. 5. Featured in the auction are many pedal cars along with a variety of petroliana and automobilia from yesteryear as well as an extensive selection of vending machines and advertising signs. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.

This collection has been displayed by the owner for family and friends to see for several years. From numerous highly collectible pedal cars including a replica 1965 Shelby GT 350 Mustang complete with a Shelby Enterprises Inc. certificate, to an 11-foot-long wooden bar with a brass footrest, this auction event contains something for nearly everyone.

An extensive selection of vending machines and coolers by Coca-Cola and Pepsi highlight this event along with hundreds of related vintage items to include bottles, wooden crates, a Coca-Cola dinette set complete with matching chairs, and other highly sought-after collectibles such as two Sprite character coin banks. Signs within this collection range from the major soft drink brands to those less known and harder to find.

There are many scarce items throughout this collection including an old barber pole that lights up, a tandem bicycle, a custom model fishing boat created by a local artist, and much more that caught the eye of this high-end collector throughout past decades.
