NEW YORK – Capo Auction Fine Art and Antiques in Long Island City will present their first auction of the spring season on Saturday, March 26, with the focus on a wide ranging selection of unusual furniture, along with decorative items of all kinds, fine and contemporary art, jewelry and Asian pieces.

An eclectic group of furniture and decorative items are already getting attention, headed by a Philip and Kelvin Laverne Waterfall coffee table (above) and a mid-century modern T.H. Robsjohn Gibbings lounge chair (below).

In the fine and contemporary art arena this month, Capo is featuring a Peter Ellenshaw (British/American, 1913-2007) oil on canvas titled Macgillycuddy’s Peeks (1979), which is estimated at $5,000-$7,000, and a Kenneth Webb (English/Irish, b. 1927) oil on canvas, Forest, estimated at $3,000-$5,000.

The auction will begin at 11 a.m. Eastern.
