LOS ANGELES – China Arts Art Appraisal and Auction House of Southern California will present its autumnal collection of decorative arts, unique collectibles, and fine art masterpieces on Saturday, Oct. 5, exclusively by online Internet live bidding through LiveAuctioneers.com.

China Arts Auction House will offer a variety of Chinese arts and antiquities, precious stones, fine jewelry and rare furnishings at the one-day event. Oct. 5 auction items include a wide variety of porcelain works, jade and soapstone carvings, precious gemstones, scroll paintings, sculptures and museum-worthy furniture pieces.

“After the highly positive reception of our inaugural auction and subsequent online auction, we are pleased to present a special collection of choice pieces,” said curator Lisal Ong. “Art collectors and aficionados alike will be pleased with our comprehensive array of autumn offerings.”

Headlining the October online auction is Lot 3104, an exceptionally rare 18th century white jade hand mirror, meticulously carved and crafted, featuring carvings of pine trees and the Hop Immortals on the back of the mirror with a sculpted Chimera on the handle, beautifully preserved.

Also noteworthy, is lot 3107, a delicately rendered jadeite sculpture of wild orchids on a hardwood base in subtle tones of gold, green, lavender, and taupe, created circa 1970s during the export period. The hardwood base features a large bird under an intricately carved tree.

Whimsical and highly detailed is Lot 2905, a painstakingly carved Shoushan soapstone featuring a bamboo forest and bamboo shoots and a small mountainside retreat. This piece is elegantly crafted.

Another cornerstone of the day’s offerings is a must-see, gleaming huanghuali and mixed rosewood chair from the Qing dynasty period masterfully carved featuring magical bats and Tao symbols in the back of the chair (Lot 3108)

Not to be missed is Lot 3139, an exquisite porcelain vase from Jingdezhen featuring plum blossom branches and calligraphy detailing. The vase comes with the renowned artist’s certificate of authenticity.

Rounding out the collection is Lot 3105, a rare and large Chinese stone basin from the Republic period, featuring blossoming carved lotus flowers and filial details.
