BIRMINGHAM, UK – Fellows’ monthly watch sale on Tuesday, Sept. 29, features over 500 lots varying from current models to more vintage styles. LiveAuctioneers.com will provide absentee and Internet live bidding.
Current models such as the Piaget Altiplano and Polo and a Cartier Santos Dumont are available. Also available is an Omega limited edition Seamaster James Bond Co-Axial.
The tourbillon is possibly one of the most intriguing of watch complications, and this auction offers two contemporary examples from Jaeger-LeCoultre (above), both limited editions – one a classical design in platinum and the other a sports piece in association with Aston Martin.
The roll call of famous makers continues for this sale with watches from Audemars Piguet, Breguet and Vacheron Constantin, along with the jeweler watchmakers Cartier, Piaget, Boucheron, and Van Cleef and Arpels.
More affordable, but no less interesting are vintage watches from Heuer, a Rolex Prince and an Iraqi air-force Breitling Pilot’s watch plucked from the markets of Baghdad post “shock and awe.”
