NEW YORK – Jasper52 will host an outstanding selection of luxury jewelry from a variety of designers, eras and mediums on Wednesday, Sept. 25. Highlights of the 174-lot sale include a classic pair of Buccellati earrings, a head-turning Van Cleef & Arpels bracelet and several fancy yellow diamond rings. The diamond and yellow gold Ludo bracelet (above) has been a Van Cleef & Arpels classic since the early 1940s. The rare retro bracelet, which is expected to sell for upward of $85,000, is adorned with round-cut diamonds set in a small hexagon design.
The auction will open with a 1.52 carat genuine tanzanite ring set in 14K yellow gold (below). The center stone is surrounded with 20 round brilliant-cut diamonds and 10 tapered diamonds. This estate ring is in excellent condition and has a $2,500-$3,000 estimate.
One of the fancy yellow diamonds in the auction weighs 9.36 carats and is the color of cognac. Set into a classic platinum mount, the center stone is complemented by two long baguette diamonds and a band of smaller white diamonds beneath the diamond basket. This stunning GIA certified ring carries an estimate of $88,000-$106,000.
Another fancy yellow diamond, 5.73 carats, is set in a handmade platinum ring and surrounded by pave halo and pave encrusted band of diamonds. This rare estate ring has a $46,000-$55,000 estimate.
The aforementioned Buccellati earrings are set in white gold in a lace pattern. The earrings dangle about 1½ inches long and are in excellent condition.
