SANTA ANA, Calif. – Don Presley Auction will present more than 500 lots of antiques from around the world at an auction Sunday, June 28. LiveAuctioneers.com will provide absentee and Internet live bidding.
“Again we have a great mix of goods from upscale southern California estates,” said auctioneer Don Presley. “Imagine the fanciest European or American antique shop you’ve ever walked into and that will give you an idea of what awaits bidders in this sale.” Many of the pieces entered in the sale came from estates and residences in Beverly Hills, Newport Beach, Palm Springs and Hollywood. Each of the antiques is fresh to the market.
A fine example of the items in the sale is a three-piece figural clock set that features a woman feeding a goat (pictured above). Other highlights include Tiffany and Baccarat glass, a circa-1900 gilt bronze eight-panel Chinese jardiniere, a rare Japanese Sumidagawa umbrella or cane holder, two circa-1900 clockwork monkey toys, a Newcomb College tile, Emile Galle marquetry table tops, sterling silver, coins, and a superb framed micromosaic from Vatican City.
Already attracting attention, this 11 1/2-inch Pablo Picasso Madoura pottery pitcher is dated 9.1.69.
The auction begins at noon Pacific time.
