CRAWFORD, Va. – The Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates Spring Antiques, Fine and Decorative Arts Auction contains a wide selection of material and will include everything from fine art and jewelry to early lighting and Asian ceramics. Friday’s session, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Eastern time, should start the weekend off with a bang and features American and European art glass from the collection of the late Wagner Thielens, New York, N.Y.; the collection of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Lipsky, Brooklyn, N.Y.; the Ellen O’Brien collection, Sarasota, Fla.; and the Bob and Margie Skromme, Celina, Ohio, lifetime collection of over 400 peg lamps of all types; plus more. Highlights include a fine offering of Imperial, rare examples of Honesdale, and a select grouping of studio glass.

Saturday’s session, beginning at 9:30 a.m., should prove to be equally exciting and features an outstanding selection of fine jewelry from estates and collections, including antique, vintage and designer examples; a large selection of fine art, including American, Continental and Asian works by listed artists; as well as a collection of bronzes; 18th and 19th century ceramics, including a collection of rare majolica, American and European art pottery, fine porcelains, including Chinese and Japanese examples; and British and Continental furniture and accessories.

Topping the fine jewelry is an estate-fresh 5.45 carat high-grade diamond solitaire ring.

Additional highlights include an outstanding signed Kinkozan Japanese Satsuma vase; a group of recently discovered works by American artist John Francis Stenvall (1907-1998); and a rare Georgian inlaid satinwood diminutive cabinet bearing its original printed label for Nicholas Middleton, a London cabinetmaker and retailer who supplied goods to the king and other members of the royal family during the first quarter of the 19th century.
