GREAT NECK, N.Y. – Fine art and antiques are available in a remarkable 387-lot auction from The Collection on Friday, Nov. 9. Absentee and Internet live bidding is available through LiveAuctioneers.

The auction will open with a 19th-century oil painting of playful dogs by Belgian artist Charles Michel Verlat. Presented in an ornate gilt frame, the 8-by-6-inch painting (below) is expected to sell for $6,000-$8,000.

Another exquisite painting is a 19th-century Venice landscape by an unknown artist. The oil on canvas (top image) measures 18 by 23 inches (est. $6,000-$8,000).

An enchanting painting of a young woman seated in a forest with deer and other animals is by German American artist Louis Maurer, 1832-1932. The signed oil on canvas painting has a $20,000-$30,000 estimate.

Several works after pop artist Keith Haring are included in the auction. One is a silkscreen print on canvas of his signature graffiti-like dancing figures (est. $5,000-$7,000).

Contemporary works include a silkscreen print on canvas of a polka-dot pumpkin after Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama (est. $2,000-$3,000).

Complementing the paintings and prints are a collection of Meissen figures and urns, antique chandeliers, carved jade, marble statues and a Bob Dylan signed acoustic guitar.
